Day One With the New PoE 2 Passive Tree: I Didn’t Feel Lost

ree

I remember staring at the passive tree today and realizing something strange—I wasn’t anxious. No second-guessing every point, no fear of “ruining” my character. That alone made The Last of the Druids update feel different.

The 200+ new passive nodes immediately stood out, especially the ones clearly meant for Druid transformation builds. Instead of forcing my build into shape, the tree gently guided it. Each node felt like confirmation rather than a gamble.

Combat felt smoother too. The attack speed adjustments made shapeshifting feel responsive instead of clunky, and the curse range changes reduced that constant feeling of being slightly out of position. These are small tweaks, but emotionally, they matter.

What I appreciated most was time. My build felt functional earlier than expected. That meant more playing and less correcting mistakes. I even caught myself planning alternate versions of the same character, something I rarely do.

I noticed players chatting about gear paths and preparation again. Some mentioned u 4 g m casually—not because progression is impossible, but because the game now encourages trying more ideas without starting from zero every time.
